OH GOODNESS!
This morning I had to get up early with Mr. Sonboul. The owners of our apartment (we rent from) decided to redo the floors in our office and front room. This means we had to move around all of our furniture. It's almost as bad as moving. Me not being 100% awake, I was totally crabby and I snapped a few times at Mr. Sonboul and the boys. Now that I'm awake, I fill really bad about it.
Anyways, today I wanted to share something that was life changing for the Sonboul home. We are a bit of nerds and LOVE watching documentaries. Last night we watched this...
This movie shares the ugly facts about plastic bags and that by using "tote bags", we can make a HUGE difference for our world. Our boys loved this moving and tonight for family home evening, we are going to buy tote bags and finally make the switch. Plus, put together a survey for Saturday. I'll post more about that later, but for now... please do rent and watch this movie. It's amazing and again life changing.
For part of our survey :)
Do you use plastic? Or do you use Tote bags?

We have used tote bags for years. It took a while to get in the habit, but now I rarely forget to take them with me. Good for you and your family! (I really like the little stuff sacks from Whole Foods.) :)
I use the tote bags from Trader Joes. We take them everywhere. When we go to the Farmers Market I take the plastic totes from My Little Yellow Bicycle since they are stronger and hold more.
Yes I like the little ones from Whole Foods too. I use my little one for shopping for my Salsa Tacupeto and chips. This summer Albertson's had some really cool ones with strawberries, raspberries and bluberries with a neat splash of water pattern falling on the fruit. I bought four of them and I always have two in my car so I am never without them, and Heidi the colors are bright and since we are trying to get healthier I am more inclined to shop for the more fresher healthier items.
I have been using mine for years. In the bay area more and more cities are banning plastic bags. Mine are from enviosak. They are washable and roll up very tight making them easy to fit in my purse(all5) or pocket(if I only need one).
I've been using tote bags for several years now. I keep 2 little stuff bags in my purse in case I forget to get the totes out of my trunk.
I've been using tote bags for awhile now. At first I found myself forgetting to bring them in the store or leaving them at home but now I'm pretty good about keeping them in the car and grabbing them as I get out of the car. I have several different bags but I really like my RuME bags which stands for ReUse Me. They can hold a lot! It's one of those little changes that can have a big impact :) Target even gives 5 cents off per bag when you use them and I know other stores have little perks like that as well.
I've been using totes for years. It makes a huge difference!
You have to be very careful of the totes you can buy and that are given away at stores. Most of them were made in China with enough lead and other dangerous chemicals to make you sick! Please research this! I personally will NEVER use them!!!
