WOW... so we did it! In less then 4 days we found a place to rent, packed all our stuff, moved in, and I unpacked all the boxes!
Talk about a long week! I don't know if I told you or not, but this whole move came on because of a BAD school district and them not allowing Bradley to be released. The school Bradley was supposed to attend.... had a liquor store on the SAME corner as the school entrance gate! the Hawthorne School district Deen "tried to convince me" it was safe and that we had no other choice! So we said "KISS OFF"
Jason and I on a phone call, decided to move (in the first 5 mins of the conversation)! Thankfully a good friend shemaine had just moved and had a lot of boxes :) So, we packed everything up and took this last photo of us in our place
LUCKY US that Jason gets a GOOD discount on rental trucks and LUCKY US... we have good friends, that helped us move on the HOTTEST SUMMER DAY! REALLY IT WAS! Everyone was dripping with sweat!
Thanks Mira, for being there for moral support and making sure I didn't go crazy!
By far these are the strongest Elders I've ever known. They went up and down the stairs over and over again, carring the heavyset stuff! We are feeding them tonight, to say thanks and I'm going all out for it! I'll post about that tomorrow.
After we were done unloading the truck, I drove it with the boys to my moms and Jason took a friend out to eat. He is a new friend from the Deaf Branch and MAN... did he help us!!! He was the last one to leave and never stoped working. Jason took him out to dinner and bought him what ever he wanted :)
Oh we also bought everyone pizza and drinks to say thank you!
The first night in our home I couldn't sleep. I was laying down for about an hour and decided to get up for water. Once I got up and notice all the BOXES EVERYWHERE... I decided to stayed up the whole night and unpack as much as I could. While we were moving in, everyone keep joking... "Where are you guys going to put everything? there are sooo many boxes!" and Jason would say "Don't worry, my wife will work magic!"
The first night I finished (Friday):
The boys room
1/2 of the front room
1/2 of the kitchen
1/2 of the bath rooms
Saturday, Mira came over and we finished:
Both bath rooms
The Kitchen
Sunday:
mom and dad brought us a home cooked meal
Monday I finished:
Our room
My scrapbook closet
and everything else :)
lol Jason thought I was crazy, but he knows how much I HATE BOXES! so he wasn't that surprised to know that I worked so fast.
After not having a TV hooked up, the boys started to go crazy. So, I had Jason put on a move on the laptop. It was funny how they won't move while watching it
It's now been a week and we are all moved in! There are still 5 or 6 boxes that Jason will go through tomorrow, but as for my end... EVERYTHING is unpack and I'm sooooo happy that I pushed myself to get it down!
Here is the Kitchen
Part of the front room
The Boys room
(their carpet is brown. It just turned out funny, because of the lighting in the room)
