A loving Lagacy

This month for Scrapfaith our DT's challenge was... to pick a hero or religious leader from another faith and right away, I knew I wanted to do Martin Luther King Jr.

here is my journaling:
Without a doubt, I love and respect this man. When I was 12 I was touched by his words, while I worked on a school project. His love for peace will forever hold a place in my heart. His passion for harmony will forever change the way I look at the world. I love that his main goal was for all of God’s children to be as one. No matter the color, shape or size. His speech “I’ve been to a mountain top” was packed with words of hope and a walk through out history. This world is a better because of his great inspiring words. I’m forever grateful for this man
and here is the quote from his speech " I've been to a mountain top"
"Let us rise up tonight with a greater readiness. Let us stand with a greater determination. And let us move on in these powerful days, these days of challenge to make America what it ought to be. We have an opportunity to make America a better nation. And I want to thank God, once more, for allowing me to be here with you."
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
I've also linked this speech and the "I had a dream " speech. If it's been some time when you last read this... take just a moment today to remember his great words. I promise, you'll be touch.
