I've been dying to share this news for 2 months and now that I've heard the heart beat, I finally can. I'm PREGNANT I know that most women wait until the 2nd trimester to share preggo news. However... I'm not that patient and on top of it I can't hide being so sick. This pregnancy isn't as rough as Calvin's, but I am still super sick and tired. I don't remember being this tired with either of the boys, so that's been new. I'm talking... I REALLY tire out so easily and all I want to do is nap. In the first month I felt guilty, because I'm such a "go doer" and I never allow myself to take a day time nap. Now that I'm 2 months, I've gotten over it and I LOVE taking naps.
So what does this mean for the Sonboul home? It's almost as if we are starting all over again (lol). We are so far from potty training and diaper bags. Having a 9 and 6 year old, has us wrapped up in science projects and homework. We got rid of all the baby clothes and crib. Yes... this baby was totally planned, but once I got preggo I realized I gave everything away (about 4 years ago) to friends having boys.
We are so excited to be having a 3rd baby and fingers crossed... maybe it's a girl this time. Although we seem to make boys, so I'm not holding my breath. I honestly will be happy with either and being able to add another family member will make us a party of 5 :)
It's amazing how fast you can fall in love with something so small.
Hearing the heart beat made me so happy.
And this is how we told my mom and dad...
And now for part 2 of this story:
About 6 hours after I typed up this post, I went to bed after a long and busy day. I woke up around 12:30am and felt like my period was starting. I went to the bathroom and there was soooo much blood. I called for Mr.Sonboul and 1 hour later we were in the ER. Earlier that day I had worked too hard and had over done it. I was helping decorate for a party at church and foolishly carried things that were too heavy to carry. The ER doctor, after running a lot of tests, found that I caused a small tear between the baby's placenta and my uterus, and that I was in danger of a miscarriage if I didn't take precautions and slow down. She also confirmed that the baby still had a strong heart beat and was doing great but that I needed to slow down or risk having a miscarriage. I feel so blessed because family and friends jumped into action and helped unload my work schedule for today. Mr Sonboul took off the day and was my knight in shing armor until my Mom could come and lighten his load.
P.S. She made the best dinner ever.
So long story short, baby #3 is still here and doing great but his/her Momma was foolish and forgot to take it easy.
phew...now that's a story. So just know I will probably be missing from my blog for about a week because I have been ordered to stay on bed rest. Thanks for all your prayers (for those of you who have known) and to Dad and Mr Sonboul for giving me a blessing.

Wonderful news on your little one! Hope you can take it easy on yourself - take care, Heidi!
Congratulations! How exciting! I did NOT see that coming at all, what with all your weight loss and all. I had a similar bleeding episode with my pregnancy - tons of blood, hospital visit, bedrest... and my "baby" is now a healthy 6 year old. Take it easy and relax as much as you can. What a blessing to have such wonderful parents and a great husband to help make that possible. Best wishes!

Congrats Heidi! I love the look on Calvin's face...LOL. Take it easy, I will keep you in my prayers also.
Mariah is praying for her little cousin who she's convinced is a girl. Don't let that get your hopes up because she was convinced mine was a girl too so I don't think it's any sort if intuition. Enjoy your bed rest in case it doesn't last (and we hope it doesn't)
Congrats, Congrats on the baby, Heidi!!!! And slow down girl! Hugs!!!

Wow!! Congrats on the new member of your family!! I totally can relate to the whole more tired than with the others, my kids being 25, 15 and 6 (and starting over with the baby items - I did it three times! LOL). Make sure to try and not over due it. I am glad all is going well. Bed rest is hard, but needed. I can't sit still for very long either.
