It's hard to believe that so much took place in 5 days...what a week it was! I visited with all my besties and met new friends. Our booth looked so darling and I constantly had to fight the urge to walk barefoot on the grassy floor. Our booths's theme was a tea party and decorating it didn't even seem like work. It took us 3 day to get everything in place and perfect.
I can't even tell you how many times people asked where we got these. So HERE is the link to the online store where we bought them. They sell every color you can think of and the pricing is great.
On my down time, I prepared all the postcards for the first day of CHA. So many of you came to do a postcard, which made me so happy. I was shocked to see how many people didn't "remember" where to place the stamp. You see American... save snail mail!
My roomie Nina and I went to down town LA to get fresh flowers (she was the BEST roommate). We were freezing that morning!!! It was 33 degrees, which is cold for a cali girl! The best part is that the flower district had on all the air conditioners. At one point my chin started to shiver! We bought a massive amount of flowers and trying to carry them to the car was funny. She and I booth couldn't see where we were going.
With all the flowers back in our booth, I made over 20 flower arrangement's and we place little pebbles all over the booth. It was nice having an "out doors booth", being that we were in doors for DAYS! We didn't win best booth, but my good buddies at Fiskars did. I was so proud of them!
I think my favorite part of the booth...besides my collections ;) where the little details. We made wood nobs look like mushrooms and had gold was sprinkled here and there.
I can't believe how many people loved Special Delivery! Almost every single order that came in... had Special Delivery on it. There were soooo MANY photos taken of the papers, embellishments and projects. It was hard to hold back my smile and being giddy over all the attention it got.
I made this neat little smile daily sign, which I'll show you later how I made it. It costs almost nothing to make it and it makes a cute gift.
Sunkissed also got a lot of lovin. EVERYONE loved the swimmer, which made my heart swoon. As a designer, it's hard to know exactly what the public will love and somehow I got lucky. This collection also sold really well and was photographed a ton! I can't wait to see how the scrappy world uses it.
Oh and funny enough, Paper Source LOVED my pom pom on twine idea and rolled with twine paper stacks. They want to produce it for the stores all across America. Cool right?! I was happy CHA came, but even more happy it went. I missed my boys and am happy to just be a mommy again. I missed Mr. Sonboul's XOXO and holding his hand. He did the best job watching the boys and even cleaned our home. Major brownie points for him! Now all I have to do is finish my Signature Series book and I can go into hibernation for a few weeks lol. I'm looking forward to that!
